What People Are Saying About Calvary High School...

"Going back to school was something I never thought that I would do; then I heard of Calvary High School. With help from the staff I received my diploma at 44 years old. Anyone can do this! Thank you, CHS!" ~ Roger ~ Philippians 4:13

"This is a wonderful program for anyone who wishes to better themselves. You must study and work hard, but it is very rewarding. The program was a spiritual blessing to me also." ~ Janie ~

To Whom It May Concern:

I am writing this letter to express my gratitude and appreciation for the Calvary High School program and also to share what this course has enabled me to accomplish.

In 2005 I heard about the program Calvary was offering. The program allowed anyone who had not finished high school to enroll in their curriculum and upon completion acquire a high school diploma. At age 52 I enrolled with some reservation, since I had not attended school in over 36 years. Although the course was set at an accelerated pace, the teachers more than met the challenge through their instructions, both in the classroom and through extra tutoring. I graduated as valedictorian of my class with a 4.0 GPA.

Several months after graduation, I decided to pursue a life-long dream and applied to attend college. In August of 2006 I took the ACT and scored 22 without any preparation other than what I had received at Calvary High School, which is an important indicator of the extraordinary job done by this program and its teachers. I began attending college at LSU-A that same month. I have been on the Dean's List every semester and will graduate with a 3.9 plus GPA in December, 2010 with a BS in Business Administration.

My remarkable experience is just one example of the tremendous role that Calvary High School's educational program plays in Central Louisiana. I, as many others, prefer a high school diploma rather than an equivalency certificate. Calvary High School provides this needed alternative. The service and economic contribution this program provides our area is priceless. I am thankful and proud to be a part of this outstanding program.

Sincerely,

Alice Wilson
